Digital Issue Delivery and Cards Charging

As we mentioned in this week's update, digital issues will start going out periodically, one issue at a time.
Normally we charge shipping two weeks after a campaign closes. We chose to wait so you could hold onto your shipping funds until we were closer to the actual ship date. You should have received a notification that shipping charges will process in 48 hours. If you need to update or change the card on file, do it in the next 48 hours before the charge goes through.
If you are not receiving our emails, you likely have a private relay email address listed. And as mentioned in previous updates, if you have not completed your survey yet, please do that as soon as possible.
If you were a digital-only backer and you have completed your survey, you should receive the first digital issue shortly. For everyone else, it will arrive as soon as your card charges.

Production Update and Digital Delivery

It's been a while since our last update. The honest reason for the quiet is that nothing had changed: every non-comic item from the campaign has been produced and sitting in our warehouse since May, and we've been waiting on one thing to move forward - the art team to finish the comics. We didn't want to post updates that just said "still waiting." Now there's real news to share.
Production Update
Issue 4 is nearly finished. The artist is down to the last handful of interior pages.
We'll be candid: this took considerably longer than we planned for. Our artist is normally one of the fastest working professionals we know, and the pace on this series caught us off guard. What hasn't changed is the quality. We've been reviewing every page as it comes in, and the work on this series is amongst the best in the industry today. The wait will have been worth it.
Once the final pages are in hand, the issue goes straight to print, and physical fulfillment begins as soon as the printed comics arrive.

Starting soon, we'll be sending the completed digital issues to backers, one issue at a time. Read along as they arrive, or hold off and wait for the physical books. Your call!

On the production side, not much has changed since the update one month ago.
Every item from the campaign has already been fully produced with one exception – the comic books.
Issue 4 is currently in progress as the art team completes the interior pages, and those will go to print as fast as the art team can wrap up their amazing work.

It’s been just short of two months since the campaign wrapped, and we’ve got a few updates to share as things continue moving forward.
First, a quick note on surveys.
The pay-over-time option was new for us this campaign, and for many of you as well. Because of how it works, BackerKit does not send out pledge manager surveys until the final payment is completed. A number of those final payments have just recently gone through this week.
If that applies to you, keep an eye on your inbox – your survey should now be on the way.

Every item from the campaign has been fully produced with one exception – the comic books.
Issues 3 and 4 are currently in progress as the art team completes the interior pages. They’re moving quickly, and the quality has been outstanding. We’ve been reviewing pages as they come in and are genuinely blown away by how they’re turning out.
We'll include photos of a few finished items below.

BackerKit Surveys Going Out
Make sure to check your email, including your spam folder, for your BackerKit Survey this week. It will be delivered to the email address you used to back the Kickstarter campaign.
This Pledge Manager service is how we will collect your shipping address and where backers pay for shipping. This is also where backers can add-on any additional items missed from the campaign.
First, we'll start with a 'Smoke Test'.
What is a Smoke Test?
- A smoke test sends surveys to 5% of backers from every pledge level in the campaign.
- It’s a simple way to catch any errors in the surveys and make sure everything runs smoothly.
- It allows us time to fix anything we find before surveys are sent to everyone else.
Failure to Complete Survey
If a backer fails to complete a survey or pay for shipping, we are unable to ship the pledge items at the time of fulfillment. We won't know where to send the package if information is incomplete, and we'll be unable to print a shipping label if shipping is not paid for.
What if my payment failed on Kickstarter?
If payment was unresolved on Kickstarter, backers can finish the payment on BackerKit to still receive their pledge.
What if I chose the pay over time option on Kickstarter?
Backers will not be able to complete a BackerKit survey until the last payment has processed and been completed.
What if I don't receive my survey?
If you believe you did not receive your survey, or lose it, you can find it here. It is also possible you are using a private relay apple id and will not receive any email updates - if this is you, you'll need to follow the provided link to find your survey.
